Make Some Noise is the third studio album by Australian-American hard rock band The Dead Daisies, released in April 2016 by Spitfire Music.

The Dead Daisies are an Australian-American rock band and musical collective formed in 2012 in Sydney, Australia by David Lowy and singer Jon Stevens. The project has had numerous members including Richard Fortus (Guns N' Roses), Darryl Jones (The Rolling Stones), Dizzy Reed (Guns N' Roses), Marco Mendoza (Thin Lizzy, Whitesnake), Charley Drayton (The Cult, Divinyls, Cold Chisel), John Tempesta (The Cult), Brian Tichy (Whitesnake), Frank Ferrer (Guns N' Roses), Alex Carapetis (Nine Inch Nails), Clayton Doley, Jackie Barnes (Jimmy Barnes), John Corabi (The Scream, Mötley Crüe), Alan Mansfield and Doug Aldrich.

The challenge for any group made up of well known names is whether to tread their known paths or experiment, and possibly lose the fan base they hoped to attract. The Dead Daisies decided the best choice was to combine the classic and the fresh. As this particular super-group relied on the revolving door formula for the most of their career, such a choice was almost obvious.

Make Some Noise. With current line-up Brian Tichy (drums), David Lowy (Guitar), John Corabi (vocals) and Marco Mendoza (bass) all on board alongside the most recent addition of a guitar wizard Doug Aldrich, (Whitesnake and Dio). reflects this well

Much has been said about the album’s opening track “Long Way To Go” revealing the group’s AC/DC inclinations, however it’s no blatant rip-off. Rather than that, it combines the rough straightforwardness and raw catchiness that’s been a trademark for many bands in Rock history, Angus Young and the gang included.

We All Fall Down” is a thick, modern riff and feisty hook, a deliberate homage to the contemporary era rather than a throwback to the past. “Song And A Prayer” is more radio-friendly, its choruses somewhat Aerosmith-esque. “Mainline” adds a bit of rough bluesy flavour with its unbelievable intensity and a generous dose of Doug Aldrich’s impeccable licks.  The rest of the album is just as strong, combining familiar with fresh powerful excursions.

The names behind the collective say it all, as far as the musicianship is concerned. Each track on Make Some Noise oozes sheer power and unaffected catchiness.

Check out the tracks: “Long Way To Go”; “Make Some Noise”; “Join Together” and “Song And A Prayer”.

This Limited Edition double LP housed in an embossed gatefold sleeve with printed inner sleeves and a CD copy is pressed in Germany on red vinyl.
