The Ship is English musician Brian Eno's 25th studio album and first solo album since 2005's Another Day on Earth, released in April 2016 via Warp Records.

The Ship debuted at number 28 on the UK Albums Chart and became Eno's highest-charting album since his 1981 album My Life in the Bush of Ghosts.

Brian Eno is a musician, composer, record producer, singer, writer, and visual artist. He is best known for his pioneering work in ambient and electronic music as well as his influential contributions to rock, worldbeat, chance, and generative music styles. He has also been an influential producer over the years, working on albums with Talking Heads and Devo, the no wave compilation No New York, and avant-garde artists such as John CaleJon Hassell, and Harold Budd.

The Ship features a cover of The Velvet Underground's "I'm Set Free," which Eno described as "even more relevant now than it did then". Regarding the musical style of the album Eno said "On a musical level, I wanted to make a record of songs that didn't rely on the normal underpinnings of rhythmic structure and chord progressions but which allowed voices to exist in their own space and time, like events in a landscape. I wanted to place sonic events in a free, open space". The album was inspired by the events surrounding the sinking of the Titanic, which Eno regards as being the analogue for the First World War. called the album as one of Eno's "best solo albums in a while", describing the music as "walking the line between pure ambiance and vocal-driven pop" with "poem-like vocals", giving the album an 8.0/10 rating.
