Into The Bloodstream is the ninth studio album by Australian singer-songwriter Archie Roach, released in October 2012 via Liberation Music.

Archie Roach is an Australian musician, singer-songwriter and guitarist who has developed a unique voice and storytelling style to showcase Australia's diverse geographical and cultural backgrounds. He has become a very important musician and cultural figure in the Australian music landscape and writes songs of love and healing, always looking forward to the future with an amazingly positive outlook, given his personal journey in life.

His breakthrough was in 1990 with the release of his debut album Charcoal Lane, produced by Paul Kelly that contained the classic song Took The Children Away which won an international ‘Human Rights Achievement Award’, and the album two ARIA awards. He has overcome recent setbacks with the loss of his life partner Ruby Hunter in 2010 and then a stroke and lung cancer. Music has been part of his healing journey and he has made some of the strongest albums of his career with Into The Bloodstream in 2012 and now in 2016, his latest release Let Love Rule.

Into The Bloodstream sees Archie return from his setbacks and showcases his music as part of his healing process and dealing with pain. It is a very strong album and has a gospel feel to it with several tracks recorded with an indiginous choir in an old church in his mother's country, Gunditjmara land in southwest Victoria. Song To Sing showcases this gosepl feel, and has a great film clip made especially in the old church. Mulyawongk is a beautfiul tribute to his lost partner Ruby Hunter with a beautiful lyric and melody.

The standout track for "The Captain" is Heal The People, with a lyric that resonates "...heal the people, heal the land, then we will understand, it goes hand in hand, heal the people, heal the land.." not judging, but loving and positive about the integral relationship between the land and the people in this great country of ours. We Won't Cry features guiest vocals with Paul Kelly and Hush Now Babies features Australian soul singer Emma Donovan. Paul Kelly also contributed the song I'm On Your Side to the album.

The core band used for most of the album tracks comprised Craig Pilkington (guitars, trumpet), Steve Hadley (bass), Tim Neal (hammond organ) and Dave Folley (drums) and the album was produced by Craig Pilkington, who helped Archie back into the songwriting and recording process.

This album is released on Compact Disc housed in a jewel case with booklet containing lyrics and credits, manufactured in Australia.
